If opponents bid a suit DGPO is one double becomes game values (5+ points) and pass is < 5 points. Unless your hand is strong the best play is to transfer to NT before doing quantitative raises
PASS - 5+ clubs and < 4 HCP
2♦ - Transfer to ♥
2♥ - Transfer to ♠
2♠ - Transfer to NT
- Then puppet stayman and all regular transfers are applicable
- ◇ ◇ a game force with bunch of clubs and lots of holes can use 3S to show partner the long clubs and problem areas (likely all values in clubs only)
2NT - Transfer to ♦ (because bust hand with clubs can pass first 2C bid)
3♣ - Suit setting slam try
- 3NT response indicates only 2 of the suit
- Any other suit is a cue bid
3♦ - Suit setting slam try
- 3NT response indicates only 2 of the suit
- Any other suit is a cue bid
3♥ - Suit setting slam try
- 3NT response indicates only 2 of the suit
- Any other suit is a cue bid
3♠ - Suit setting slam try
- 3NT response indicates only 2 of the suit
- Any other suit is a cue bid
3NT - Game Values interest in Minor Suit Slam
4♣ - Gerber (i think it better to xfer to 2NT first then bid 4C)
4♦ - 5-5 in the Majors
4NT - Quantitiative Raise
5NT - Grand Slam Interest
